︎︎︎ Works
Bronze, stone and plexiglass, 40.90.90 Cm, Ed.1/1
I wonder, if man is ever truly free to choose or is he just a small part of random happennings taking place all around him? Our ideals, our goals and our dreams; Do they really mean anything in the grand scale of these occurrences?
Man is always trying to strike a balance in life as he is aware of the two different sides of his inner self. One side being his will to live and the other being his longing to reach that which is higher than us; that which is in the heart of all these events. In the present work, the fisherman’s endeavour to “catch” what he cannot “see” (represented here using two separated spaces) symbolizes the dualistic nature of this inner self and the desire to unite them.
