︎︎︎ Works
Selected works from an 85-frame series, 21 x 29.7 cm, rapid pen and colored pencil, 300/g paper
During my studies at Bauhaus University Weimar, I created the cartoon characters MR. and MS. BAU. This series critically reflects on the Bauhaus movement (1919–1933), exploring its ideals, aesthetics, and contradictions.
MR. BAU embodies the minimalist, functional, and predominantly masculine style that defined the Bauhaus legacy. In contrast, MS. BAU playfully and humorously challenges these norms through an imaginative interaction with iconic Bauhaus objects—questioning who is included in, and excluded from, the modernist narrative.
